As  stated from below I'm using v8.15hf1. Can you shed some light as to what I
  should  be  looking for? Usually when this happens, I don't catch it for a few
  hours.  There's  alot of logging information to go through. It would help if I
  could at least have something to narrow down to when it started. Correct me if
  I  may  be  misunderstanding. If the SMTP and queue manager operate separately
  from  each  other,  why would there be errors with SMTP? Is the queue  manager
  part  of the SMTP service? The server keeps  accepting messages, however, with
  the  queue  manager  stuck  in  a stopping state, the messages are not getting
  moved through the queue.

  Our  other IMail server we have set up (same version and hotfix) has never had
  this  issue.  Then  again,  it doesn't see the traffic that the problem server
  sees.
