Yes, IIS SMTP can be run on a different port than Imail - I've had IIS SMTP
running on port 26 for quite a while now. I just can't figure out how to
get IIS SMTP to forward to localhost on a port different from 25.

Interesting. You can specify it in Exchange SMTP, but I can't find any info
on doing it with IIS. Is it a viable option to run IIS on a different port
and IMail on port 25?

Darin.

Okay, I understand how to set the IIS SMTP to forward incoming mail to
[127.0.0.1], however how do I get it to send to port 26 instead of port 25?
The MS help doesn't help.

Inbound AND outbound? Yep, that can be done.

True indeed.

Pls explain your requirements further.

That's a little vague. For incoming, all you need is a 'Remote Domain'
entry in MS SMTP that tells it to forward to [127.0.0.1] on port 26,
and check off 'Allow relay to this domain.'

Uh-huh. Different path, almost irrelevant (glad you have it working,
though).

Any logs?
