JT,   A vital resource for newbies (which I still consider myself) is http://www.dnsstuff.com/   The first box, dns report, is packed with information. Just type in your domain name.   You also wrote: 2nd question...   Our Imail server has NO 3rd party SPAM protection nor a server based Anti-Virus. What's the most common and effective anti-spam/anti-virus software that works well with Imail V. 8.05HF3 and checks mailboxes rather then flat file scans? To expound on John's reply: We use Declude products, www.declude.com, in conjunction with Pete McNeil's Sniffer www.sortmonster.com and F-Prot  www.f-prot.com for antivirus scanning. Len Conrad's IMGate is another excellent approach which I am planning to implement as well.   Searching the Forums of this mailing list along with the mailing lists fro Declude and Sniffer have been a good source of info/education for me.   Bill Green dfn Systems
