I also don't run it all the time. Just use it for
troubleshooting both internal and external servers.

Example: Had a server (not mail) that had a certain
listening process that suddenly and mysteriously
refused to start on bootup. I fired up TCPVview, and it
instantly showed that another service (and which one)
had anomalously started and already grabbed and opened
that port. Total troubleshooting time: 35 seconds. :-D
