Can Imail Server 6.06 stop mailfrom (rfc821) forgery?
What would keep a customer who uses my Imail server from logging in using their own email account but using my company's email address in the "Reply to" or "Mailed from" fields? IOW, I run a small web hosting company (let's call it hostco.com) and a customer knows that [EMAIL PROTECTED] is a valid email address. OK, so this customer wants to create havoc, and send out thousands of emails and include my email address ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) in the reply to/mailed from fields. What would stop them from doing this? Can IMail 6 prevent this?
I currently have the following SMPT security options turned ON: Check valid sender Auto-deny possible hack attempts Disable SMTP "VRFY" command and Relay mail for 127.0.0.0/1 Thanks.
