All-
We're in the process of upgrading the software on our dedicated IMAP servers -- after tonight they'll all be running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.1 with imap-2006k. All folders (not just INBOX) are currently in mbx format, with plans to move to mix eventually. We'll be doing some storage reorganization of the imap filesystems later this week and next, including doubling the number of inodes available. One of the other sysadmins here suggested that when we redo the filesystems, we mount our imap filesystems with the "noatime" option, so that file access times are not updated. Is anyone currently doing that? Will that cause problems for either mbx or mix format folders, or dmail/tmail/imapd in general?
