Greetings!

We are using UW-IMAP, unfortunately still using the .unix mailbox format and experiencing severe performance issues. I would like to change people over to mbx using mailutil (a few at a time until I am comfortable with it) but I would like to change people as the root user. If I change to a user's directory and do this:

mailutil create "#driver.mbx/INBOX"

it creates the INBOX in the root directory. Is there a way for the root user to do this on behalf of a user? Doing this: su user mailutil create "#driver.mbx/INBOX" is problematic in that most users do not have a login shell (we set it to /bin/false to keep them from logging in). Any ideas, like a way to use su without giving a login shell to the user? Thanks!
