Thanks for all the replies about my mailutil question. I am still
using imap-2004g and the -u option doesn't appear to be in that
version of mailutil. Looks like the first thing I need to do is get
on the latest version. I've downloaded and compiled imap-2007d and
will install that this evening when things are quiet (I assume that
copying a new imapd/ipop3d binary to its production location while
inetd is running would not be a good idea?).
I also like the idea of creating a prototype mbx INBOX and just
copying that into users' home directories so that the next time they
access their inbox it will be converted. We have a large number of
POP3 users - will the ipop3d program do the conversion as well?
It was kinda neat getting a personal reply from the creator of the
IMAP protocol - certainly never expected that!
