Certain broken clients think that they should do a LIST of all possible names, SUBSCRIBE all those names, and then issue a STATUS of those names at each synchronization. If you use traditional UNIX mailbox format (mbox format) then you'll certainly have performance problems with clients that do that. mix format will help you a lot with that.
