I see your patch as a missing link for uw-imapd, so I'd really like to like to get this improved. Why not stay with the "_@dir" companion directory extension. Most people using this patch will just interact with the imap daemon so they don't care about the internal details. Others using the patch might care, but I don't think that there's a "standard" for an extension of dual-use companion directories, at least Netscape and Mozilla use ".sbd". But your choice seems better to me, because this extension will not likely get hit by a user creating a sub directory - but who knows. All other people, like Mark, are likely not interested in this patch at all, because they like the past 30 years more than the future. -- MfG / Regards Friedrich Lobenstock
