I disallow BINARY[] in my server, but I can be convinced that that was a
mistake given that RFC 3516 says that it is OK.

I'd prefer to fix RFC 3516, both to disallow BINARY[] (by removing two
characters from the spec!) and to add wording saying that BINARY can only
be done on terminal nodes.
