Greetings,

How successful has IMGate been against DOS attacks? A local government
agency supposedly took down one the local dialup isp's T3 line down =
twice in
the last month. I believe they have a ptp T1 into the isp from their =
local
office. The isp has shut them off and sent them to Verizon for help. =
The ip
in question is 12.4.184.216. The PTR's for this IP are as follows:

How would one approach clearing up this problem?

Would dual IMGate boxes before the mailservers be enough to do it if we
could tarpit the originator(s).

I talked to the MIS person today who told me they had "experts" working =
on
it but I told her that if they couldn't fix her up, I would put her in
contact with Len , whom I was sure could help them out. Thanks again.
