My intention on writing this is to allow someone to continue where I left off. This was a project I attempted to undertake more than a year ago, but I eventually gave up due to my lack of confidence in myself to handle this properly (due to my lack of competence).
Here is the link to the dataset in question: https://www.opendataphilly.org/dataset/buildings Below is the email I sent: > Good afternoon, > > I am an avid contributor to the OpenStreetMap (OSM) project, a collaborative > open project to create a global geodata set freely usable by anyone. It has > seen widespread adoption from varoius organizations, including SEPTA. > > I wanted to attempt an import of Philadelphia Building Footprints into > OpenStreetmap. I have not verified this, but the dataset was most-likely updated since I last bothered to work on this, especially since in a later email she said that the "open data version of the building footprints should be fixed by the beginning of June." Anyway, I would love to see someone else be able to finish what I started. The licensing has been cleared. The data is available right there to download. All that's left to do is for someone to download the data and upload it OSM! _______________________________________________ Imports-us mailing list [email protected] https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/imports-us
