Hi,Also, for the sake of the length of this thread, I will not be engaging
further but will make sure that we all do receive an adaptable and workable
dataset into osm.  You seem to already have decided what you wanted to do,
ignoring best practices. You kept skipping very important questions.
These kinds of OSM contributions create problems for volunteer contributors.
Believing in a community does not mean that the community should say yes even
if it's a no.
Also, guiding you does not mean doing your job for you; that's up to whoever.
Don't see it as support you are paying for.
All the best,
Enock

Why do people bother with starting a thread here at all if they do not plan to
consider the feedbacks? We should really make an effort to prevent imports from
introducing poorly defined and undocumented tags. The community will later
consider these "in use" and that might harm OSM. Cheers, On Fri, 25 Nov 2022,

standpoint is not against the valuable feedback that the team has had to offer,
with utmost sincerity, I appreciate that and its importance is well
underscored! My standpoint is against the hegemonic subtext or rather
condescending undertone that was exhibited by that person daring their support.
That is not an okay thing because this is not what I believe this community is
about and it takes us from the overall agenda of having contribution but
instead a win or a loss discourse. Perhaps, a guiding template on email
messaging to necessary changes can be devised to help alleviate such!  Also,

let me say this very bluntly: The community consultation process of an
import cannot be resolved by the would-be importer "intimately taking a
stand" on something or "begging to differ". If you cannot find broad
support in the community for proceeding with the import, and you proceed
anyway, then your import will be promptly removed from OSM.
