Thanks for your input. There was something weird that happened on the server, but I'm not sure what it was. When I restarted all the IMS services, everything went back to normal and has been ever since.

Are you running low on hard drive space? Did the computer,(or any of the mail services), crash lately? I've seen messages get dumped into the "dead" directory and a 'Locked' file get left in the "prein" directory after the server recovered from a bug-check crash. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Woodie Sayles wrote: > > Funny, but nothing in dead... > > Woodie Sayles > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Webfoot.Net > 2054 Weaver Park Drive > Clearwater, FL 33765-2130 > (727) 442-5770 > (727) 442-3380 - fax > > Fast, friendly, professional web design and hosting. > Visit our web site at http://www.webfoot.net to see what we can do for you! > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Emwac > Sent: Monday, December 01, 2003 6:30 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: .msg.tmp messages in Prein > > Anything in the "dead" directory? > > //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// > Woodie Sayles wrote: > > > > Anyone know what would cause IMS to put messages in the Prein > > directory with the extension .msg.tmp and truncate them at 1Kb?
