How about some of the line termination isnt crlf, it's just lf? content-type, subject, from, to, x-mailer, date, x-priority all only have lf.
The separation from the header to the body only has lf's as well If you can put the msg as is into the mailbox and it crashes, then correct the lf->crlf (edit from the prompt does it) and try it again. i loaded the message into netscape 4.7 and it read without the crlf's though. klint.
