I've recently had a customer ask how they can keep their email private if I, as Admin, know their password. Since IMS doesn't have web-based setup, have any of you had the
same question asked of you? If so, what's the best way to answer?

i just explain to them that a system administrator does not
need your password to read your e mail, and in fact the only
way to prevent that from happening, should you not trust your
sysadmin to not do so, is to use pgp for everything and call
it a day. there isn't any mail system on the planet where the
admin can't read end users mail.

generally i find customers such as these to irritating to
deal with.

there is a util to change passwords from the web, but it's
not something i ever messed with.
