No answer can be 1.Technicaly exact 2. Franckly 3. Satisfying for the customer

I'm sure that many of my early customers have left - without telling me the true reason- because in a small city, if someone should read their emails, they prefer a big anonymous provider, rather than someone they could meet in the street.

I use all answers suggested in this thread, but sometimes I just reverse the answer :

" Anyservice provider could potentially read emails,
I never do it, but I strongly suspect others to collect emails adresses, and maybe resell them.
My service is more secure than many others "

and

" I never read email, but in case you should absolutely read an important email and could not get access to a computer, then I could exceptionaly ( and nobody except me could do so in my company) go deep into my system and help you get this information". ...

BTW, don't you think that AOL, hotmail  and co - before they complained so loudly about spam - did catch some email adresses for their own spam ?

Subject: Privacy issue with customer

I've recently had a customer ask how they can keep their email private if I, as Admin, know their password. Since IMS doesn't have web-based setup, have any of you had the same question asked of you? If so, what's the best way to answer?
