Klint, If the whitelist could be used to 'disable' certain ip's from ever being added to the 'X minutes' reject list, then that would allow those of us using backup MXs to still use your spam trap feature.
I could then add the ips of backup MX servers to the whitelist knowing that any messages received from them to the spam trap address would not end up barring my backup MX servers. Only messages to the spam trap addresses that come in from the real outside world (those not in the whitelist) would be eligible for the temporary banning.
