When you mean you can connect to your home wifi network, can you  
confirm if your iPhone IP address can be accessed (ping) from the  
computers on the home wifi network?

You would need the following to connect successfully

1. IP address
2. Subnet mask
3. Router/Gateway IP (typically the IP address of the LAN interface on  
the WIFI Router)
4. DNS server (typically the IP address of the ISP or even the WIFI  
router as many of them perform DNS caching)

Normally the WIFI routers are able to provide the above automatically  
with the help of the DHCP service, which is again ON by default on  
most WIFI routers, unless it has been disabled manually in the router  
configuration.
