Hi,

The only way to run a .exe file on a Mac is to install Windows using  
boot camp or parallels. Now since u don't want to spend any further,  
get Windows XP installed on your machine using boot camp.
However, for your Wifi issue, restart the machine and if it still  
continues the same way, go to System preferences and look at your  
Airport settings.
