If a folder/file starts with a . for example .RECYCLE then it is not usually visible in the Finder. You will need to activate certain features in FINDER to see the files. You may even keep a bookmark of the folder within the hidden file to access it. Please not it will show in the FINDER:GO:RECENT FOLDERS drop down list.
