Dear All, I was also thinking its a hardware issue, but I don't know, after a fresh installation (means format), something usually very common on windows PC, suddenly the iMac started to work fine without showing any problem. Even till date its fine, running 10.6.3 OS X . So what was the reason its very hard to say but I have my own ultimate solution.
