Hi,
Try to boot with SafeMode, same issue i got after update to 10.6.3.
Its resolved for me.

10.6.2 to 10.6.3. After the OS update machine prompted to restart.
When restarted, its turning ON with only the apple logo stays

the iMac with Mac OS restore DVD, it took around 40 minutes to
