Yep, AppleCare purchased from US is honored in India at Apple Authorized 
service centers. Make sure your product and it's extended warranty are 
successfully registered with Apple.

Also, a tip when purchasing Apple products (in India especially): Go to 
register.apple.com soon after purchase to ensure that Apple has the correct 
purchase date for the serial # of your product. Sometimes their records show 
the date on which that item was shipped to the reseller, so the reseller/you 
would need to send proof of purchase to get things sorted out. Check the 
purchase date early to save yourself the hassle when you need speedy service.
