Right. What I think you will see a lot more of are Solaris-specific GUIs, such as those coming out of the Visual Panels, Presto and NWAM projects, and to some extent even the Caiman installer project. While these will still be implemented using the GNOME or Java toolkits, they're very much tailored to features of Solaris that are either somewhat different to, or just not currently available in, the Linux distros that the 'generic' bits of the GNOME and KDE desktops have to satisfy.
