Just a note that it isn't a "virgin" Ubuntu distribution; it has been
customised for that particular target system somewhat.

Also note that even this lowly $199 PC has 512MiB of memory :)

I believe I've seen posts from Dennis Clarke about OpenSolaris running
on a VIA box of his.

I don't know which processors the OpenSolaris code base currently has
support for.
