Shobha ji, the word पांढरी (meaning white coloured) must have some reasoning while it was assigned to this M. monosperma - one case could be just to logically separate the two plants. Perhaps, some aspect of *M. monosperma* is "whiter" (read "brighter") than the *M. pruriens*. It could be just any aspect like stem, leaf, bud, flower, seed OR even the root. Those familiar with this colour logic may help us out. Regards.
