Satish ji I believe it's the same rati seeds which were used for weighing gold when grams were not introduced.Rati used to be the smallest unit-seer- shatank-tola-masa and rati, 8 rati = 1masa and 12masa=1 tola, 5tola=1shatank,and 16 shatank 1 seer regards sarbjeet
