Seeds of Abrus precatorius contains a toxin called ABRIN which is
poisonous and its inhalation or ingestion can cause death too. Hence
unnecessary contact with the seeds should be avoided. The main problem
is, there is no antidote for this toxin !! Seeds do swell if you put
them in water for 3-4 days, so I imagine if they are really harmless
with the outer coat if ingested!!
