The place is also home to some 'king-size' mosquito's which can make life 
miserable (less active after early morning), especially when you are 
stationary.

My solution is to wear long sleeved shirt (you can roll up the sleeves 
later) and trousers and a face mask also helps.

You will find A. marina flowering and fruiting. It is said that the fruit 
can germinate while still on the plant - have never seen the phenomena 
personally - but do look for it.
