These Salvias are growing wild in a storm drain,  in Bangalore. 
In addition to the 2 stamens seen, there are two more short ones with 
undeveloped anthers (staminodes?)

Are they a known species or a garden cultivar escaped ?  Maybe  S.coccinea.
Last I  spotted this plant , also wild , was near  the same region almost 6 
years back
