These Salvias are growing wild in a storm drain, in Bangalore. In addition to the 2 stamens seen, there are two more short ones with undeveloped anthers (staminodes?)
Are they a known species or a garden cultivar escaped ? Maybe S.coccinea. Last I spotted this plant , also wild , was near the same region almost 6 years back ASinha <https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-QHVA_0IpzQY/VFIvkTa1OJI/AAAAAAAAAXc/ND797KA-Vb8/s1600/DSC01302-B.JPG> <https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-mCG-XBL7yuU/VFIv0FOWEsI/AAAAAAAAAXs/sDJ4kYLrMv8/s1600/DSC01187-B.JPG> <https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-4ZHRqMHkeW8/VFIvw8zBeRI/AAAAAAAAAXk/AtIuMWlIXUw/s1600/DSC01176-B.jpg> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "efloraofindia" group.
