Didi, my guess is based on calyx of this species.
*Gardenia gummifera*, *G. resinifera* are two different taxa.
Flowers of *G. resinifera* are fragrant.
Flowers of *G. gummifera* can be fragrant if FBI, Roxburgh and TPL are
correct about *G. arborea* Roxb.
Flowers of *G. jasminoides* are fragrant.
