I confirm with Satish ji in his view that this sp of Asparagus can be seen growing wild. At Mohali, Punjab where i reside this species is growing in waste areas and is in the same stage as this picture is. while walking through some waste area wheere a lot of grass is growing there is every possibility that you will trip over after almost every 5-6 steps tangling in these spiny branches...
