Tanay ji Asparagus racemosus is very much found in forest of this area as wild climber. Also cultivated as medicinal plant as its tuberous root is considered as good tonic at par to Safed Musli. One interesting thing about this plant is that in our area it is called "Narbod plant". In a festival "Narbod", the twigs of this climber are hanged on the door of the house so as to keep all the evils away from the reach of the family living inside the house. Satish
