Dear All
This climber (in photo) was originally wild. Now cultivated by me in my
fields. This is called as Shatavar, We usually prepare its(from storage
roots)Laddu by adding it with Khoya and Desl Khand (a type of locally made
Sugar). These are considered as very nutritious and a brain tonic. This sp
is now rare in haryana due to Eucalyptus and Prosopis plantation in
Govt/Panchayat Lands. I am seeing from Childhood this sp is generally grow
along with Withania somnifera and Capparis aphylla
