Many of the people in the village know this solitary tree and call it by the
name Goddana mara, It is in fact considered to be of no significant
commercial/
importance and left uncut. Trees like these are found in one or two numbers in
the entire region and villagers are not aware of its key identification or use
Sometimes the local & scientific names contradict. More over the villagers do
not know the names of any of the non native trees. for eg. They do not know the
local/common name of the Gul mohar tree.

I agree scientific validation from experts is a must for a prudent
confirmation, despite the popular local names.

Thanks to every one for the ID help.
