Pankaj O: that's sad... and strange.... I searched Medical publication site PUBMED... and there are 159 papers from 1965 till 2001 ... most appearing in the decade prior till 2001 when you paper seems to have gone in... so I dont understand why crop science people did not like it.... did they give and constructive analysis and critique? any pointers to how you could improve the paper?
and now till today there are 1813 papers... so the acceptance rate has indeed gone up.... markedly... as we become more aware of the universal laws... ==== effects of nada brahma... or vibrations of ragas on crops have been examined in India... pioneer at least in english writing appears to be Prof TC Singh of Annamalai University.. published his work in Bihar Agri coll mag in 1962... I think... this was followed up by some canadian wheat and corn growers...way back when.... Reiki...is a healing vibration.... SRI at Stanford Univ I think (not present now as SRI) has done a lot of work and experimentation in thew same line... but it seems all these researchers had hard time publishing .... or getting govt grants... back then... since someone's spirituality and siddhis gained by spirituality practices can not be patented... Reiki vibrations and the healing potential from the practitioners hand can not be standardized.... people have tried it using biological systems like percent of old mungbean sprouting etc... kirlian photography, dark field photography aura reading and photos.... everything shows inter and intra subject variability..same day and or over a long period... so how does one standaRDIZE SOMETHING SO PRECIOUS AND SO ELUSIVE.... AND there is another big caveat...... that is the sidhhis disappear as soon as the siddhi sampanna person is put in an egotistical environ or starts charging enormous monetory rewards..... etc.... or is surrounded by enormous negativity.... of reviewers or so called govt or some agency appointed "impartial" observers.... but recorded music is standard... that has been studied and published..... =============== And I am sorry to hear about the german prof who wanted co-authorship ... that's too bad.. did he do substantial write up or updates? but how could he or you? conditions would not be the same and the reiki practioners would not be the same people or of the same ability as back then..... Also you have a defense there... good journals and societies in the west now reuire the primary author to sign a form where each co-author's contribution and the reason for being a co-author is spelled out by the first author and if you are coerced into giving co-authorship to someone who does not deserve it... you are liable and that person is liable... for reprimand and even withdrawal of papers... this not only applies to Plagiarism.... which is a shame we had a spat of that in India... ========well there are no easy answers...
