FUEL Marathi Meet, individually for me was really an eye opener and during
this meet I felt that how India is a country of diversity in unity. Even
languages have lots of unifying elements that can not be understood without
experiencing it in real time. Sudhanwa jee is very right and we can still see
the hangover of the meet in the form of debate on mailing lists. If this
continues, we will be forced to have another round for what Gune jee wished
during the meet ie FUEL Marathi 2.0 .
I am really very much thankful to all the participants from several groups
whose untiring efforts of two days in this meet made this event successful.
FUEL team is thankful to C-DAC Gist for hosting this event. Thank you all for
making the event hugely successful.
regards,
Rajesh Ranjan

Those 2 days were really hectic. There were lots of discussions and
brainstorming.
2 days were completely full of English-Marathi words and equivalents.
The hangover of those discussions is still on!! Whenever I am writing
some Marathi text, I am trying to figure of some other better wording
and also equivalent in English :-)
Luckily for me I had lost my Spanish vocabulary otherwise... ;-)
Now when I read those 578 terms and their previous translations, I
feel that the team has really done a great work. Well, that can be
improved further in the next release!!
Moreover, I was very happy to see the Web designers/maintainers
participating in the workshop were more than willing to use the terms
immediately and taking them as some "standard terminology"
Overall, it was a satisfying experience. Lets talk about further work
of creating/modifying/updating Marathi dictionaris and further work of
NGOME/KDE localisation.
Many many thanks to all the participants and organisors, sponsors.
Best regards,
-Sudhanwa
