Greetings.
We're new at this. I'm trying to install AFS 3.4beta client s/w on
the server of an HP diskless cluster. The cluster server is an old
710, running hp-ux 9.05. The installation is identical to what I'm
using on other (unclusterd) HP machines of various types, 720, 735,
etc.
The failure is happening during the dkload operation. It fails with a
message (paraphrased from a faulty memory) "Cannot access libafs.a".
This happens after things have apparently gone well with the load.
1. Is anyone successfully using AFS with 9.05 HP diskless clusters,
and if so, did you need to do anything special to get it working?
2. Would I be better off building an AFS kernel directly, instead of
trying to use the dynamic loader?
3. Notice of any other HP specific gotchas not listed in the FAQ is
appreciated.
