AFS is not supported for HP diskless clusters. Even if you managed to link
libafs.a into the kernel, and even if you took care to allocate a memory
cache and no logfile, sooner or later (during boot) the clients will crash
when they try to access /afs. 

I vagely remember that they even crash if the cluster master has AFS 
installed, and someone tries to look at /afs on the client.

It's actually odd that I haven't found this mentioned in the FAQ! I wonder if
I'm wrong after all...
