Yes, we have been using AFS on our 16 node SP1 since the spring of 1994.

I will say though our SP environment is unique in that we total rid our
selfs of any reliance on the varous NFS mounts with regards to the PSSP
software.  

If you have AFS capable clients then their is no reason to use NFS for
anything.

Yes the nodes on the SP (one and two) run the same version of AIX (either
3.2.5 or 4.1.3) as any standalone rs6K.  Have you installed AFS on other
rs6K's before.  To the best of my knowledge it is the same process nothing
special is required.

Have you rid yourselfs of the hoakey dual ethernet networks that were
required in the first release of the PSSP software, when we upgraded to
the next version of PSSP (Nov 1994); I had all the "extra" ethernet adapters
removed so that I would avoid problems with multi-homed clients, did you do
the same?

Your not trying to use the "switch" network as the path to the AFS file
servers?
