There were some presentations about MR-AFS during the last years.
The last presentation I gave was on the Cray User Group meeting in 
Fairbanks in September 95. If you don't have access to the 
"CUG 1995 Fall Proceedings",  you may print this paper from

/afs/ipp-garching.mpg.de/u/hwr/public/Fairbanks.ps

This paper contains references to the contributions of the MR-AFS authors 
on the IEEE Mass Storage Symposia in 1991, 1993, and 1994.

There was also a BOF-session on the AFS User Group meeting in fall 1993.
