Hi,
as we have a severe problem with AFS 3.4a data losses (TR-19402) on a 9.6 G
(RAID-5) journaled filesystem a question to the people running
AFS 3.4a servers on a sun4m_54 machine with SUN Online Disk Suite 4.0
disks and journaled filesystems (probably on a Sparc Storage Array):
- did you experience any problems (except the already discussed vfsck
issues...) in this configuration ?
- how large are your largest vice partitions on the ODS disks ?
As Transarc seems to be a bit unsure whether they support this config
or not, I'd also be interested about your opinions whether this should
officially be supported by Transarc, including a vfsck which correctly
handles the journaled filesystems.
Unfortunately, Transarc doesn't seem to have such a config in the area
AFS support normally can access. They're now trying to arrange
access to a DFS group system... Well... this is fine, but I hope
it won't take too much time as it's pretty urgent for us to get
this box running (...and not loosing data again... ;-)).
