Hello,
We are running a AFS NFS translator service on a SPARC clasic running
Solaris 2.4 (SunOS afsnfs 5.4 Generic_101945-32 sun4m sparc)
and AFS 3.4a (Base configuration afs3.4 4.34)

The users of the service loose now and then acces to their stuff in AFS
(four times since christmas). They get the sort of messages that
follow

Bad directory
Stale NFS handle

We need to

- Reboot the AFS NFS exporting machine.
- Remount /afs on all the NFS clients.

which is very annoying.

Does anybody an explanation for this problem?
Can we do anything to solve it?

                          Best Regards
