I believe it'll be the other way around. There won't be applications
accessing files, there'll be a browser accesed page that brings information
AND the capability of what you want to do with it to you. You won't even
care how the data actually gets to you or how you send it back. The very
concept of file and filesystem is eroding right now. The concept of file
seperates data from what you want do with it. It's heaven when I'm in a
Perl hacker mode, but it's a real dog when I try to get my checkbook
balanced.
Well we'll see. Maybe we can continue the discussion in ten years? :-)
