Hi, AFS admins out there...
We have a crashed AFS file server which had severe hardware problems
so that we can't help giving it up. ReadWrite volumes existed on the server
are recovering from backup tapes, however, ReadOnly volumes on that server
makes me annoying. I can't release volumes which are registered in that
crashed server.
After checking AFS manuals, I found two choices which can be used in
this kind of situation. The manual says;
vos delentry -server XXX -partition XXX
or
vos remsite -server XXX -partition XXX -id XXX
I'm not sure which one is correct in our situation and I'd like to
hear any advises on this problem. Thanks in advance.
