Yes, I run an AFS 3.5 client on Linux (Redhat 6.0, kernel 2.2.10,
on IBM ThinkPad 765L) accessing a cell with 3.4a database and fileservers.
I would advise you not to mix 3.4 and 3.5 database servers.
Better to plan a careful upgrade of the db servers to 3.5 all at same time.
