Hi Johan,

I would agree with the others that it should be no problem to run a mixed
environment, i.e. have 3.4a and 3.5 clients and servers. We currently have all
of our file servers on 3.5 and some clients are also already on 3.5, but most of
them are on 3.4a. *BUT* we really had *big* problems (I posted that to this
mailing list a few weeks ago) when we tried to run our DB servers on different
AFS levels. Now that we're back on 3.4a with all of the DB servers, everything
is fine. Of course one day we will upgrade them all (in *one* task) to 3.5, but
the bottom line is: running mixed levels on your DB servers is something you
probably don't want to do ... :-/

My question was not very clear. Sorry about that. The question should be:
Is it possible to run a mixed 3.4a and 3.5 file servers and clients? I
have read in this list that it's not safe to have mixed DB servers. Does
3.4a run on HPUX 10.20?

TIA

Johan Hedin
