[ Resending because I was subscribed from the wrong address and the
previous try didn't appear on the list. Apologies to anyone who sees
  this twice. ]

We have to change the IP addresses of our VLDB servers and will therefore
temporarily be going to seven VLDB servers while all of our clients switch
over. We'd like to bring up the new servers running AFS 3.5 (since
upgrading VLDB servers is something we do infrequently at best, and
starting with the latest and greatest will mean they'll become obsolete
more slowly), but our existing servers are running 3.4 patch release 5.00
(actually 3.4a, I believe, but the above is what rxdebug returns) and I'd
really rather change as little as possible on them.

Does anyone have any experience with running mixed VLDB servers, some with
3.4 and some with 3.5? Is this a safe thing to do? A scan of Transarc's
upgrade instructions didn't reveal any particular cautions, but also no
clear statement that this was an acceptable thing to do.
